Emily Henderson

Government Affairs Consultant
Emily Henderson

Emily plays a vital role in advancing Michigan public policy through her work on health and human services issues at McCall Hamilton. She collaborates closely with clients, state legislators, and administrative officials to shape legislation and regulations that improve access to behavioral health care, strengthen home and community-based services, expand oral health access, and address challenges in the health care workforce. Her hands-on experience in grassroots and coalition advocacy allows her to amplify community voices and drive equitable outcomes.

As a 2022 fellow of the Michigan Political Leadership Program, Emily brings a thoughtful, solution-oriented lens to her work—committed to promoting policies that improve the lives of all Michiganders. While health care remains her primary focus, she has a personal passion for issues related to the environment, immigration, and international security.

A longtime Detroit Lions fan, Emily embraces the underdog spirit in both her personal and professional life. Whether she’s supporting Medicaid dental access or championing treatment services for individuals affected by substance use, she approaches advocacy with tenacity and heart.

Emily earned her degree in international relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and lives in East Lansing. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling with family and friends, volunteering locally, and cheering on the Spartans.
